This time last year at Livewire Live 2015 three veterans of the Australian equity market shared their best stock ideas for the year ahead, the results did not disappoint. Ideas were contributed by Geoff Wilson (ASX:ECX) (VIEW LINK), Anton Tagliaferro (ASX:SDF) (VIEW LINK) and Ben Griffiths (ASX:AIA) (VIEW LINK) with the average return across the three stocks being 27.6% - including distributions. Ben Griffiths took the gong for best performing stock pick with his call on Auckland International which delivered an impressive 35.5%. Griffiths says, “the real money is made in our business in sitting on good quality stories over the duration and not day trading in and out.” To this end he says Auckland International remains a key position in his fund.
