Alligator Energy (ASX: AGE) represents one of the most prospective, emerging uranium plays available to investors and is our sector favourite. The company maintains prime exploration acreage within the Alligator Rivers Uranium Province of the Northern Territory and has the highly successful, vastly experienced Macallum Group (ex-Extract Resources) as its major shareholder. The stock is therefore highly leveraged to a resurgence in uranium prices. Recent years have been extremely difficult ones for uranium plays as uranium prices plunged in the wake of the Fukushima nuclear disaster during 2011, leading to a proportionate decimation of uranium equities. The tide has however begun to turn, with uranium prices (both short-term and long-term) firming during late 2014, which in turn has led to an improvement in market and investor sentiment.
