Base metal prices rose by up to 2.0% on Tuesday with copper leading the way. Gold fell however with the Comex futures price down by US$5.30 or 0.4% to US$1,195.50 per ounce. Iron ore was unchanged at US$63.40 a tonne on Tuesday.
