According to Vimal Gor, the head of income and fixed interest at BT Investment Management, Preferment will win today's Melbourne Cup, with its biggest threat Trip to Paris. Other "live chances" include Criterion, Fame Game, Who Shot The Barman and Hartnell. Gor also reckons the RBA will cut rates today "We think there is a very good chance that the RBA cuts tomorrow.
