Global equity markets fell as investors shifted to safer government debt following soft US private jobs data and disappointment at Japan's efforts to boost economic growth. The S&P/ASX200 was down 1.3% at 4835.21, the S&P500 shed 1.4% at 1608.9, the Dow lost 1.43% to end at 14,960.6 while the Nasdaq ended its session 1.3% lower at 3401.5. SPI futures are down 47 points. For the day ahead, the SPI suggests we can look forward to a 1% fall on the ASX, while for the data it's all about trade at 1130 AEST.
