Robert Gottliebsen, Co Founder of Business Spectator, shares some of his views on the market outlook. Gottliebsen says markets are overdue for a correction and a challenging economic backdrop could be the catalyst for a pull back. “We've got a situation now with lower interest rates and while the Reserve Bank is continuing to lower interest rates you're going to see strong bank shares and infrastructure shares. But we haven't had a significant economic downturn for a long time, over 20 years, 23 years I think it is, and we're due for one. And so I'd expect on a three year time frame to have a significant correction in that period.” Gottliebsen says that whenever an economy is forced to shift gears, such as happening in Australia right now, it always causes a few problems. In this video Gottliebsen discusses the debate around dividends vs growth, M&A activity and where he is investing his super.
