Is Davos worth the distraction? The World Economic Forum brings together all the world's great minds and influencers so as to galvanise them into action to improve the state of the world. What about an example? The annual gathering of the world's financial luminaries, political leaders and socially aware pop stars is impressive enough to think that something worthwhile might be happening. A poll by The Guardian newspaper this week showed 94% of respondents believed that the Davos meeting would not make a difference. Davos is either elitism gone mad or an organisation doing good but failing abysmally to advertise its value.
