Kerr Neilson says he and his team continue to find areas of neglect in the markets and are excited by the opportunities they have uncovered. Platinum's International Fund has nearly half of its exposure to three key investment themes. One of these themes is the internet and more specifically the hardware companies exposed to the surge in demand for smartphones. Neilson believes the market has mispriced the growth outlook for Intel providing investors with an opportunity to buy a fantastic company at a reasonable price. Intel has aggressive plans for the roll out of new processing chips targeting the surging smart phone and tablet industries. The chips will address the compromise of power use for performance which is a critical point of competition. Neilson believes the new technology will see the market reappraise its current valuation of Intel. More detail on the Platinum website here (VIEW LINK)
