Kevin Bertoli, Portfolio Manager of the Emerging Asia Fund at PM Capital, says investors need to change their view on investing in Asia. Investors can no longer just go and buy and ETF or an index fund nor do RIO and BHP provide them access to the next round of growth in Asia. Instead, Bertoli says investors need to look towards consumer facing businesses or the Asia equivalents of Woolworths, Seek and Patrick Port's. In the case of Seek you can already see the recent acquisition of Jobstreet - this is the #1 job site in the Asia region. The addressable market is nearly 10x the size of the Australian market and the Company has not yet started to pull price levers to drive earnings growth. Bertoli says this business looks like Seek did in 2004 and says the next decade of growth should be very exciting. Exclusive here:
