Nintendos, Trinitrons and Walkmans aren't on my wish list Unfortunately for Japan, the world has moved on from Nintendo and Walkmans. I can still remember the first time I played with both and I was blown away, Tokyo was on the must see list for me as a youngster fascinated with gadgets. Nowadays, anyone with a Nintendo has a gaming addiction and someone flippin cassettes in to a walkman is just way too kool for skool. The way you feel about receiving a Walkman and not a (insert anything from Apple or Samsung here) for your next birthday is how I feel about owning Japanese stocks at the moment. Japan has a weak growth problem, a heightening inflation problem, a demographic problem, an immigration policy problem and last but not least a no one really wants their consumer goods anymore problem.
