Roger Montgomery: Tees off on index funds

Roger Montgomery shares some candid views on the rapid rise of ETFs and takes aim at some myths he believes are being spun by the ‘marketing machine’. “What they say to investors is that we beat the majority of fund managers which in Australia is simply no true. In Australia and particularly in the small cap space the majority of fund managers beat their index. What I don’t like about index investing is that it is just dumb investing.
