Stand out presentations from the Pie Funds small cap conference

Laura McBain from Bellamy’s Organic (BAL:ASX) presented their very impressive growth story to an eager audience of conference attendees. Headlined by their cracking first half result, where their revenue for the first half of FY15 comprehensively beat their entire FY14 result, Laura articulated simply and effectively the impressive sector tailwinds propelling BAL to such impressive growth. With organic baby food, one of the fastest growing consumer segments around the world and insatiable Chinese demand, BAL seemed very confident in carrying their momentum forward into the future. Laura’s growth plan certainly had the attendees and more importantly, the shareholders full seal of approval. With most fund managers out there being in the age range to have small kids, this is a company they can easily relate to. It’s no wonder then that Laura was mobbed after her speaking slot with people vying for a precious five minutes with her.
