Started buying Aussie dollars and balanced on our US Dollar view globally Falling inflation in the US is changing our view of the global currency landscape. We have been long the dollar versus most currencies in the last few months, now we are taking a more balanced view as US inflation continues its slide lower. Our investment rule when it comes to currencies is straightforward. Weaker growth combined with weaker inflation is negative for the currency. Not groundbreaking, but an important starting point when we consider where to position our capital to find relative economic fundamental strength and weakness opportunities against other countries to trade global foreign exchange markets. In the chart below, you can see that the US now sits in the middle of the bunch when we compare it to the rest of the developed worlds in regards to changes in our analysis of the inflation outlook for each economy.
