Tagliaferro: We are now starting to see some value emerge. Anton Tagliaferro says that the current pull back in equities should not have come as a surprise to most investors. In the last few months the market has continued to go up in the face of negative geopolitical events around the world. Tagliferro adds that most of the concerns such as the end of QE, the prospect of rates rising in the US and a falling iron ore price should largely have been factored into portfolio allocations. Having been cautious on the banks for some time Tagliaferro now says he has been adding banks to his own portfolio. Up until two months ago they looked pretty frothy and expensive. I think at current levels they are beginning to look reasonable. With NAB, ANZ and WBC all due to report results in the next month Tagliaferro says he is expecting to see record results and healthy dividends.
