The current period of capital city home value growth has now run for almost 2.5 years. While this is certainly a long period of time to be seeing consistent home value growth, this growth period has been much more moderate than the 2001-04 boom. Furthermore, the rate of growth has been much more narrowly based than the broad-based increases in 01-04. Sales are currently lower, credit growth is more moderate while interest rates are much lower.
