The question most people are asking when looking at the US is when will the Fed wind back QE? However, amongst these conversations I have heard the odd remark that perhaps the Fed should increase stimulus or at least maintain current levels until clearer signs of a sustained recovery emerge. Interestingly a survey of 30 US economists suggests that over 50% believe current levels should be sustained or even increased until stronger growth signs emerge.
