The sell off is over done for quality stocks
Steve Johnson, CIO of Forager Funds, oversees both a domestic and international portfolio of stocks. He recently wrote a post titled "The bargains are right in front of your eyes" (VIEW LINK) which caught plenty of attention. Johnson noted the rush of new international products coming to markets and questions if the sweet spot to get offshore has already past. "I think most Australian investors probably don't have enough international exposure in their portfolio and they probably should work towards getting it. My concern is that everyone is rushing to do it now after the performance has been very good and after the currency has already come back a long way." Johnson says when he looks across the range of opportunities available domestically and offshore he sees a greater range of opportunities on offer in the local market - especially now that some quality names have been heavily sold off.
