Too much smoke for there not to be fire around Ten. The SMH reports an interesting back story to the potential change emerging at channel Ten. Speculation is that Rupert Murdoch and a potential partnership with private equity are leading candidates to take control of the network. Elizabeth Knight writes, the chat around the industry and investment circles is that a deal is brewing and one that will involve Rupert Murdoch's empire either directly or via Foxtel, in which News Corp has a 50 per cent stake. Ten has a number of high profile private investors including James Packer, Gina Rinehart and Bruce Gordon. However, it appears that they have lost interest in the media game and will take a less active involvement. An interesting read on the emerging story here: (VIEW LINK)
