Two of WA's leading brokers have given their view on the current state of the commodity markets and not surprisingly they paint a somewhat bullish picture. John Featherby, Chairman of Hartleys, admits there's an element of that natural optimism often perceived as a cowboy kind of attitude but remains firm in his belief that the outlook for resources is sound. Hartleys head of corporate finance Grey Egerton-Warburton said there's always cycles within cycles, but the strength in commodity prices and hence the strength of resources cycle has got so many years to go. Another Perth based firm Euroz echo these views telling shareholders improved commodity and resource-related markets weren't far off and its corporate pipeline was potentially the best it has looked for some time. Interestingly despite the recent downturn in the resources sector Hartleys have continued to deliver profits since management took charge in 2003. (VIEW LINK)
