UBS Rates Strategist Matthew Johnson says the RBA is now more confident that sustained low rates are positively impacting the Australian economy. I think they've upgraded their assessment of the domestic economy. They're more sure that low interest rates are boosting the economy but they are also a little bit annoyed that the currency is still so high. While the central bank's statement offers little in the way of forward guidance, Johnson says he expects some more details in Friday's Statement of Monetary Policy.
