Uranium is on the nose, but Alligator Energy (ASX: AGE) offers something different, the team that made Extract Resources a roaring success. Extract Resources was one of the best uranium sector performers of recent years, rising from a low of around $0.60 to a high of around $12, before an eventual takeover at $8.65 a share. Alligator Energy maintains a sizeable acreage position in a world-class uranium province in the Northern Territory (Ranger, Jabiluka) and the involvement of Extract's former backers reinforces our positive view. The Alligator River region has received significantly less exploration attention than the geologically equivalent Athabasca Basin in Canada, which is the world's best know uranium province and which continues to generate new discoveries.
