Volatile volatility in stocks - but not in Gold yet With all the action we have seen in world stock and currency markets in recent weeks, what has remained surprisingly quite is the volatility in the price of gold. It makes me continue to question if Gold is the safe haven popular wisdom leads us to believe, if in the lessons from the real world laboratory of daily markets we have to endure there has not been a rush to it during times of global market sell offs like the which has unfolded recently. Gold has fallen since the end of July along with stocks and has not provided a hedge to match the volatility of stocks either. Saying that the Gold price has not lost as much as in stocks is an excuse, but not a good enough one when it comes to making positive portfolio returns. Read more... (VIEW LINK)
