What would need to occur to make the Australian market attractive again? Uday Cheruvu talks to Sky Business in the below video. Uday discusses why he think the Australian market will under-perform global markets in 2015 and that within Australia he prefers banks to commodity stocks as he thinks they provide a more compelling opportunity. Uday explains that the way the Australian market could improve in 2015 is for internal consumption to increase, via retail spending. This would happen if the oil price remains low and people start believing they can spend these petrol savings. He believes we would also need to see infrastructure spending ticking up and this positive impact rolling through to building materials and construction. (VIEW LINK)
