Where will the next billion internet users come from? Mashable's Taylor Casti says globally there are 2.4 billion people are Internet users, a number that is expected to grow to 2.7 billion by the end of 2013. The majority of new users will start using the net via mobile devices, which are set to overtake desktop browsing as the most popular type of browsing next year. New users are likely to be open to wearing internet devices such as Google Glass or a smart wrist-watch and they are most likely to come from China, India and Indonesia.
