Wilson: Companies we like for a falling dollar

Wilson: Companies we like for a falling dollar. My view of the Australian dollar in comparison to the US dollar is that we could see it down in the 60's. From a global perspective, there has been quite a bit of offshore buying with the drop in rates and as the Australian dollar falls, even though the market has gone up, in US dollar terms it's done very little. So as the currency continues to fall, it will not only support the economy, it will support the equity market too. Foreigners looking at Australia can see that it's an opportunity to buy. The key is to find the companies that will grow - excluding the domestic economy. Companies we like are Slater & Gordon- we think there will be more earnings upside for them and that they are incredibly well managed. We have also bought Amalgamated Holdings and Mantra Group.
