Azure Minerals intersected 200.2 metres of continuous silver mineralisation grading 34 g/t Ag and 0.09g/t Au at its Loma Bonita prospect in Sonora, Mexico. Three holes have been drilled along a 900 metre ridge each intersecting similarly highly altered sequences of volcanic rocks with thick zones of breccia and shallow dipping silicified zones. Metminco reported the results of a single drill hole directed at the TD2 target sitting adjacent to the existing Los Calatos resource in Peru which reported a 35 metre wide interval of mineralisation grading 0.24 g/t Au and 2.64 g/t Ag from a depth of 311 metres. Hopes of a shallow adjacent system were not realised although the company speculated that a “deeper seated porphyry system may occur at depth”. Helix Resources is completing a 17 hole 2,500m RC program at its Collerina prospect, a coincident geochemical and geophysical anomaly. A late 2015 program produced 14m at 4% Cu (from 80m down hole) with 17 of the past 21 holes intersecting copper grades of 1% or greater.
