According to the ADP employment report, private employment is in the process of rebounding. The March ADP number showed private sector jobs increased by 191,000 - the best month of the year so far. The number was in line with the consensus estimate, but still encouraging after the slow growth from last month. Speaking of last month, the number was revised up from 139,000 to 178,000 - a fairly robust upward revision. What's more, the annual trend in private employment is showing a solid 2% increase. The job market is really the last piece of the puzzle needing to fall into place in regard to the recovery of the US economy. We'll see what Friday's non-farm payrolls report brings, but the ADP report is certainly an encouraging sign. (VIEW LINK)
