Bell FX: The AUD is at a three-and-a-half month low after RBA Governor Glenn Stevens stated the AUD's natural level was around USD 0.8500. Stevens said it would be surprising if a nine at the front of the AUD/USD is the right number in the medium term. Our AUD dropped one US cent overnight on the back of these comments as stated a level of around 0.8500 was closer to the mark than 0.9500. Stevens also added he'd prefer a fall in the value of the Australian dollar over lower interest rates as a means to lift the local economy to help stimulate trade-exposed sectors of the economy.
