Could hiring in the US actually be gaining real traction? At least according to ADP, it appears to be the case. Private job sector hires climbed to 238,00 in December. That's the biggest increase in more than a year and the third time in 2013 the ADP number came in above 200,000. What's more, the ADP report shows that job gains were broad-based across industries, with the biggest gains coming from construction and manufacturing. The numbers are in line with other economic reports showing more robust manufacturing-related gains in recent months. The more important jobs report comes out on Friday, with non-farm payrolls for December. However, the ADP news implies Friday's report could be better than expected. (VIEW LINK)
