It has been 23 years since Australia has had a recession, everything that could go right has gone right when it comes to the banking sector. Their strong performance has been aided by favourable regulation and rapid credit growth. Nathan Bell, Head of Research at Peters MacGregor, says the days of rapid growth are now behind us and the consumer can't be expected to keep taking on further debt to fuel credit growth. However, bank valuations have come under close scrutiny in recent months - but just how risky are they? In this short video Nathan discusses valuations from the perspective of a long term investor.
