Hunting for future market darlings at IPO

To find out what makes him tick, we asked Graeme Carson what he is most passionate about in the market. He told us that it is the satisfaction of watching a company grow from ‘birth’ to become ‘one of the bigger companies in our economy’. Cyan participated in the IPO of Afterpay, which has tripled in price since it listed. Having met ahead of the IPO, the team was very impressed by the quality of company management, their strategy and the value to the different users of the product. The company is already moving into offshore markets. Graeme told us: “THAT’s what I love. I love finding the next one of those. And then watching it grow, and growing with it.”
