I bet you wish you bought Bitcoin! After starting 2013 at under $20 a coin, it rallied nearly 6,000 last year, arguably the 'investment' story of 2013. But is it a bubble waiting to burst? a form of digital gold or 'new gold', and should investors be paying more attention too it, and other crypto-currencies which are popping up almost daily it seems now. Whilst we are unconvinced on its long term monetary qualities, and from an investment perspective see it as nothing more than a speculative punt akin to your sister in laws cousins best mates greyhound, it is breath-taking technology and it's made real advancements in the way money can be transferred. Not surprisingly, it's found quite a few followers in the precious metal space, attracted to it's limited supply, which makes it similar, but not the same as gold, which is stable in supply, rather than fixed.
