If the US economy gets above-trend economic growth, we'll get above-trend economic growth. Michael Knox, Chief Economist at Morgans says Australia can ride the next wave of growth on the back of the US recovery. He says Our scenario for growth is good because the US is looking at least two years and maybe longer of above-average economic growth. We haven't seen that since before 2007. We got through that tough period based on China and now China is slowing down and we're worried about what that's going to do to the Australian economy. But in doing so we've forgotten the close connection between the Australian and US economies. Our financial sectors are highly connected.
