IMF Bentham has a strong track record and while profits are somewhat unpredictable, the company's performance is not dependent on the economy. That could provide income investors with diversification, as well as a solid dividend yield. Due to a selective and hard-headed approach, the company has lost just six cases out of 159 matters funded so far. Cashflows and profits have been lumpy and unpredictable due to the timing of court results. That has meant fluctuations in dividend payments. But it has $105.6m cash and the company says it will seek to implement a regular semi-annual dividend. IMF paid a final fully franked dividend of 5c per share, taking the total pay out for 2014 to 10c per share. That's forecast to increase to 11c per share in 2015, giving a solid dividend yield of 5%. But dividends are expected to increase to as much as 14c per share in 2016, a strong yield of 6.4%. (VIEW LINK)
