Lithium is being redefined
Eley Griffiths’ Portfolio Manager, Ben Griffiths, thinks lithium has “come into its own” as demand for electric vehicles and off-grid power storage drives increasing demand for the resource. “Unlike many other commodity booms, as we saw with rare earths - much excitement comes to nothing. It does feel like there is a genuine demand driver that is supporting the market’s new-found enthusiasm for lithium.” The sector has become hot in recent times, which has caused a speculative blow-off which is to be expected in any interesting boom. The spate of junior lithium hopefuls attempting to raise cash is a positive sign, he says. “It feels to us very much like the underlying fundamentals for lithium are improving, in terms.” Watch the video below to find out which two ASX-listed lithium stocks they’ve been buying:
