Someone is going to be wrong on US rates

David Bloom, Global Head of FX research at HSBC says that whatever way you look at it, either the Fed or Mr. Market is wrong when it comes to interest rate forecasting. “The Fed is telling us they’re going to raise interest rates like that and the market’s saying ‘no, you won’t be raising them like that.’ So there’s a discrepancy and they both can’t be right. Why is the market not believing the Fed, or why is the Fed not capitulating to the market? One of them is going to have to win. (Source: HSBC, Bloomberg & Business Insider)
