Sunset Strip | Aussie market held up another small positive day albeit on low volume. These volume levels are not going to pay for the Wolf of Wall Street salaries. Politicians better get their act together and get the economy moving or the brokers are going to move into your space. Politics is the only industry living in more denial than broking. AUDUSD now below 81 cents while volatility index has remained stable in the low teens. The growing global and local ageing demographic will continue to look for higher returns to support their rising cost of living. Low fixed income returns will force them to chase the high dividend yield offered by the Australian equity market. Given that we expect domestic data to remain negative while ECB and China to move towards stimulus, our market should continue the overall positive trend well into January. China is up 2-3% today with expectations of stimulus driving local punters to buy with substantial amount of margin trading accounts opened in recent times. (VIEW LINK)
