Sunset Strip | Aussie market started negative and maintained the trend with below than expected results and negative global lead. The volatility index has come back with recovering currency after US Fed comments. Market has moved from fear to extreme greed in the chase for yield on solid turnover. Telstra joined the group of big large cap companies that have had leadership change in the recent months. The CEO's are telling you that things are not looking good for the next 12-24mths and the government's lack of leadership is not going to change anything. History shows over the past 2 years that strong positive Feb returns leads to negative March returns. The market is being driven by short covering and yield chase. Global long only investors looking for yield are likely to be sitting on the sidelines waiting for RBA to get the currency down to mid to low 70's (i.e. cut interest rates below 2%). (VIEW LINK)
