“Never let the market make you do something that you don’t want to do,” said Paul Moore, Chief Investment Officer at PM CAPITAL, when asked for his ‘golden rule’ of investing. He says it’s important to ensure that you don't base your investment decisions on external influences, you have to back your judgements and convictions - after doing the hard work of researching. “The greatest investment opportunities that I’ve found over time, at that key point of inflection, people were not only questioning it, in some cases, they were ridiculing it.” He says, if you fail to back your judgements, you’re likely to walk away right at the most important point. “Markets are very tough, so when you come across those ideas, you have to stick with them.” Watch the video below to hear the golden rule from Roger Montgomery, Chief Investment Officer at Montgomery Investment Management, and Steve Johnson, Chief Investment Officer at Forager Funds: Or watch the full panel session here: (VIEW LINK)
