Trump Is The 'One Step Backwards'

Draw a long term trend line through history and you'll find progression is the key word, but it happens slowly and there are constant interruptions and throw-backs. For example; did you know Oman only officially abandoned slavery in 1970? Or that the last regional government in Switzerland to succumb to the inevitable only allowed women to vote in 1991? The list is long, and most among us would be surprised about how recent the dates are behind many of today's commonly accepted social (and other) achievements. But the list of resistance and of contra movements is equally long. Trump represents one such renaissance reflex. He is the logical follow-up to the first coloured President of the USA.
