Aussie market was undecided at the start and maintained the flat performance despite China growth coming in at low levels albeit above expectations. The latest China data shows slowdown but proves that there is no hard landing yet. China expected to deliver their 5 year growth plan next week (26-29th Oct) and we remain of the view that they will move further to stabilise the growth and set a gradual path to lower sustainable growth. The investors will have to deal with Chinese leader in UK, US Housing update and Canadian election before coming back to RBA minutes tomorrow. We continue to see low volumes as investors are sitting on the sidelines till clarity returns to the market. The best performing sectors Financials Ex Property, Financials, Energy and Staples while Gold, Telcos and Metals & Miners were the worst. We expect the overall positive trend to continue with the financial sectors beginning to see support. (VIEW LINK)
