Impact Minerals reported very high grade assay results from its Red Hill platinum prospect in western NSW. An intersection of 161 g/t platinum+palladium+rhodium+gold, 2.3% Cu and 2.9% Ni was reported across a 3.5 metre interval down-dip of historical workings. The grades were better than from earlier drill intersections of weathered rock or samples from the old mine. A number of down-hole electromagnetic conductors were also identified. Adelaide Resources reported broad but weakly mineralised drilling results from exposed quartz reefs at its South West Limey Dam gold prospect in central Queensland. The prospect shares a similar geological setting to the Pajingo gold field to the west. Pacifico Minerals is targeting a Mount Isa copper style system at its Coppermine Creek prospect in the Northern Territory. The target on a structural intersection between a sequence of brecciated dolomites and iron rich clastic sediments is a distinct “bulls eye” anomaly identified from an airborne electromagnetic survey of the area. The prospect is located northwest of the Macarthur River mine in a sequence of rocks highly prospective for large base metal accumulations.
