FAR has reported stabilised flow rates of 4,000bopd and 4,500bopd from two completed drill stem tests with 15m and 5.5m sections. The results come from an appraisal of the offshore Senegal SNE oilfield. FAR has a 15% interest alongside Cairn Energy, Conocophillips and the state owned Petrosen. The above-expectation flow rates point to a growing field with three wells over 6km. The Goldphyre Resources exploration target of 6-37Mt of recoverable sulphate of potash from its Lake Wells project in Western Australia is at the low end of expectations with uncertainties over estimation and incomplete data. Peel Mining is drill testing the down plunge extent and strike of a defined resource first identified over 30 years ago at its Apollo Hill gold prospect near Leonora. The objective is a large scale bulk mining system. The 2,000 metres RC drilling program precedes a round of diamond drilling and geophysical surveys at its NSW base metal prospects, still the company’s primary interest.
