Asian Markets were in the spotlight after hefty falls in many regional markets. The concerns were sparked by a National Bureau of Statistics housing report and as if often the case an emerging trend carries more weight than a single number. The chart attached highlights the decline in new house prices since 2013, it suggests prices on new homes will soon start falling into negative territory. While China's economy has been slowing for a while, the stark slowdown in the housing market seems to be pushing it into a new, risky phase.
