Australia's jobless figures for May will be released today with many analysts expecting the unemployment rate to rise to 5.6%, with 10,000 jobs being lost from the economy. The jobs outlook for Australia has declined of late with economists now tipping the unemployment rate to rise above 6% by the end of the year, a level not seen in nearly a decade. NAB chief economist Alan Oster has recently commented that the economy is not growing fast enough in a fundamental sense to generate enough jobs to keep the unemployment rate level. (VIEW LINK)
