China’s ‘Nasdaq’ highlights innovation opportunities

China has implemented a number of initiatives in its quest to open up its capital markets, including the Nasdaq-style STAR board that plays host to science and tech firms. Since its introduction earlier this year, STAR has shone a light on China’s less well-known innovation companies, including one that is among China’s most profitable.

Catherine Yeung, Investment Director at Fidelity International, says while most investors will likely have heard of Alibaba and TenCent, this particular company is virtually unknown outside the country and is also rumoured to be seeking a listing in the near term. In this short video, Catherine explains that while its parent company may be little known, many Australian parents will have certainly heard about the service it offers.
