Kin Mining Revisits Sons of Gwalia

Kin Mining is another in a growing list of explorers applying new techniques and insights into areas of historical gold mineralisation. The company has commenced a 3,000 metre drilling program at its Gwalia South prospect 2.5km south of the historic Sons of Gwalia Mine in Western Australia. It has been attracted by the apparent continuation of the Gwalia Shear Zone onto its property which has only received light exploration in the past owing to a thick cover of younger age unmineralised sediments and sands. The company is seeking to test a key structural intersection between the Gwalia Shear and northwest trending faults with initial drilling centred near historical shallow air core drill results which reported a range of intersections including 4 metres at 15.15 g/t Au from 170 metres and 10 metres at 0.94 g/t Au. An assessment of the Gwalia Shear Zone potential will benefit from the already accumulated knowledge of the geology of the region from the past exploration efforts of others which can be integrated with modern geophysical data.
