Buy Hold Sell: Where is the value?
Howard Marks once said “Investing is a popularity contest, and the most dangerous thing is to buy something at the peak of it’s popularity.” So in this episode of Buy Hold Sell we’ve actively sought out three of the most un-popular stocks on the ASX.
There’s some common ground between the companies selected:
- They’re all facing structural change in their industries
- New and formidable competitors are emerging
- They’re all trading at or near their 12 month (if not all-time) lows
So is there value in these unloved stocks?
Matthew Kidman from Centennial Funds ask Ben Clark from TMS Capital and Roger Montgomery from The Montgomery Fund for their views on Vocus (ASX:VOC), Ten Entertainment (ASX:TEN) and Baby Bunting (ASX:BBN).
We also ask each panelist to share an out-of-favour stock that they think offers good value. (Roger’s got three!).
